Requirements:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or a related field (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in providing support to individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients and their families.
  • Compassionate, patient, and understanding nature.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and flexibility.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (preferred)

Uluru Support Services is an NT-based disability service provider dedicated to delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities. We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team and positively impact our clients’ lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities, promoting independence and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, and medication administration, following individual care plans and guidelines.
  • Support clients in developing and maintaining essential life skills.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that respects the rights and dignity of everyone.
  • Implement behavior support plans and strategies to promote positive behaviors and manage challenging behaviors effectively.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, coordinators, and other support workers, to ensure holistic care and support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting as required, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
